August 2019 – Tefen Music Festival

August 2019 – Tefen Music Festival

This year’s festival coincided with Tu B’Av, the Jewish Holiday celebrating Love. With the full moon out over the three days of classical, Israeli, and chamber music, a special concert for Tu B’Av was held and the love of music was the setting for the world premiere of original music by Mark Hagerty, performed by Chen Zimbalista. There were masterclasses, rehearsals, lectures, and concerts in the museum galleries, at Salon Malka brewery next to the museum, as well as the unique experience of a huge concert tent on the lawns of the industrial park. The festival was sponsored by the Recanati Family Foundation and the Open Museums.
